On January 10, 2016, 27-year-old Markees Antwon Lee, known to friends as "Twack," was fatally shot during a birthday party in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue, where an altercation inside the residence escalated, leading to shots being fired outside. Lee sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
