On June 6, 2020, 23-year-old Laquavius Leon Pearson was fatally shot at a Marathon gas station located at the corner of James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway and Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. during a large gathering at the gas station. Pearson was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
