On February 8, 2022, at approximately 11:14 a.m., 27-year-old Dennis Melton was fatally struck by a vehicle on Interstate 20/59 near the 76-mile marker in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Responding Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers found Melton trapped beneath the vehicle; he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
