In the waning days of 2023, a traffic stop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, ended in a fatal encounter that left a family seeking answers and a community questioning the use of force. On the evening of December 20th, 24-year-old Tristan Decedric Clark, a male, was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by members of a narcotics task force near Bowers Park. The moments that followed are a matter of sharp dispute, but they concluded with Tristan Clark being shot and killed by a Tuscaloosa police officer.
