On August 4, 2021, at approximately 12:50 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the 400 block of 57th Street in Fairfield, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered that two male victims had been transported to Princeton Baptist Medical Center by private vehicle.
