Death by Force

On August 25, 2022, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers on patrol near the 800 block of Finley Boulevard heard multiple gunshots. Responding to the scene, they discovered 37-year-old Dariuse Dewayne Benson lying unresponsive in an alleyway on the 1600 block of 8th Street West, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
