In the summer of 2017, the life of 20-year-old Antonio Jerome Brooks II was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. An African American male, Brooks was an unintended victim in a sequence of events that began with a domestic dispute. On June 20, a young man, after stealing his grandmother's credit card, was being pursued by his own father. During this chase, the fleeing man fired a gun, and a stray bullet struck and killed Antonio Brooks, who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. ...
