Sheldon Tron Watkins, a 26-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on January 29, 2018. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when Watkins was found suffering from gunshot wounds near the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 18th Street North. He was discovered in a parking lot, unresponsive, and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
