In late January 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Bessemer, Alabama, involving the death of five-week-old Kamari Whitt. On January 27, Kamari sustained severe blunt force injuries at a residence on West Lake Circle. He was promptly transported to Children's of Alabama hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on January 30.
