On September 29, 2023, 19-year-old Mauryce Santel Knox Jr. was found fatally shot inside a vehicle in Bessemer, Alabama. At approximately 8:30 p.m., Bessemer Police officers responded to reports of a traffic accident in the 1600 block of Berkley Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Knox, the driver, deceased from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
