On October 24, 2023, 13-year-old Timothy Sampson was critically injured in a domestic shooting at his home in the 100 block of 22nd Street South in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m., leading to his immediate hospitalization at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham. Despite medical efforts, Timothy succumbed to his injuries on October 28, 2023.
