On August 8, 2019, 20-year-old Termaine Dewayne Howard was fatally shot near UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 10:49 p.m., Birmingham police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1800 block of Seventh Avenue South. Upon arrival, they discovered Howard lying unresponsive in the 600 block of 18th Street South, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
