On December 4, 2020, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a report of a person shot in an alleyway between 5th Street and 6th Street Thomas in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 52-year-old Eloy Sierra-Arroyo unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene at 9:58 p.m.
