On September 21, 2024, 27-year-old Tahj Booker was among four individuals fatally shot during a mass shooting in Birmingham, Alabama's Five Points South Entertainment District. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue South, where multiple suspects opened fire on a large group of people outside a public area.
