On June 8, 2019, 29-year-old Joseph Dewayne Frazier was found unresponsive in a bedroom at 1535 Wilderness Lane in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to an assault report around 8:30 a.m., officers from the Birmingham Police Department's East Precinct discovered Frazier suffering from a gunshot wound.
