In the late hours of November 2, 2019, a dispute in Birmingham, Alabama, turned fatal, ending the life of 57-year-old Efrem Zembelist Fulford, a Black male. The incident, which unfolded at approximately 11:37 p.m. at 3838 39th Court North, stemmed from an argument that escalated to gunfire.
Following an investigation into the shooting, authorities identified 48-year-old David Scarborough as the suspect.
