On February 26, 2019, 41-year-old Marco Devonta Robinson was fatally shot during an apparent robbery attempt on the 1200 block of Daniel Drive in Birmingham's Green Acres neighborhood. Following the incident, Birmingham police investigators presented their findings to the Jefferson County District Attorney's office. After reviewing the case, the district attorney's office ruled the shooting of Robinson as justifiable.
