On a Monday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 31-year-old Andre Lawrence was cut short by gunfire. The male victim was shot and killed on April 12, 2021, at an apartment complex in the eastern part of the city, near Huffman High School.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was alerted to the shooting, and deputies arrived at the Springville Landing Apartments on Springville Road to find Lawrence suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medical first responders, he ...
