On July 8, 2022, the Birmingham Police Department responded to a report of a burned vehicle at Fraternal Cemetery on Sheridan Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered skeletal remains in the passenger seat of the charred sedan. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later identified the deceased as 56-year-old Birmingham resident Cedric Lernard Terry.
