On October 11, 2024, 20-year-old Paul Devaried Terry Jr. was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 12:19 p.m. in the 8200 block of 4th Avenue North, in the East Lake community. Following the shooting, Terry fled to a nearby shed in the 300 block of 83rd Street North, where he collapsed. Responding officers found him unresponsive, and Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
