On September 12, 2008, Andree Devore “ATL” Frierson, a 28-year-old African-American man, was found fatally shot inside his residence at 116 60th Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred following a dispute earlier that day between Frierson and Tyrone Bailey, the brother of Keith “Slick” Cotton. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over money.
