On October 19, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a person shot in the 100 block of 24th Avenue South in the Glen Iris community. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Jordan Immanuel Davis lying unresponsive in the middle of the street, having sustained a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
