Death by Force

On February 15, 2024, the body of 37-year-old Marlin Dontae Yelder was discovered in Birmingham's Inglenook neighborhood. At approximately 10:17 a.m., a local resident collecting items noticed a decomposed body lying face down on a pile of trash along the roadside in the 4200 block of 48th Avenue North. The resident alerted authorities, and upon arrival, Birmingham police officers and Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced Yelder deceased at the scene.
