On December 18, 2020, 24-year-old Tyrius Williams was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from the Birmingham Police Department's North Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple gunshots in the 200 block of 4th Court West. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams lying unresponsive in an alleyway, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
