On February 5, 2024, Gregory Lee Scott, a 63-year-old resident of Birmingham, Alabama, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident. The incident occurred on Green Springs Highway, where Scott was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking as a pedestrian. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving Scott fatally injured. Emergency responders pronounced him dead shortly afterward.
