Any updates on this case?
On June 14, 2021, Birmingham police officers observed a vehicle being driven erratically on the wrong side of the road in the 9100 block of Parkway East. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Armonda Contreras from Pinson, Alabama, failed to stop when officers attempted a traffic stop, leading them on a pursuit to the 8500 block of 1st Avenue North. Contreras exited his vehicle and entered a restaurant, where he armed himself with a glass bottle and began throwing objects at the officers.
