On October 17, 2022, 17-year-old Ty'nez Lloyd Durden was shot while standing in a parking lot on Sunrise Lane in Birmingham, Alabama. An unknown vehicle approached, and an individual or individuals inside began firing at him. Durden was transported to Children's of Alabama Hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to them on October 20, 2022.
