Death by Force

On September 5, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a call at Freedom Manor Apartments, a senior living facility located at 1617 5th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they discovered two men, 68-year-old Larry Darnell Collins and 66-year-old Roosevelt Walker, unresponsive inside an apartment, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
