On September 5, 2018, 30-year-old Brandon Lee Wilson of Hueytown, Alabama, was fatally shot in Birmingham's Roosevelt City neighborhood. At approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Wilson deceased from gunshot wounds inside a crashed SUV. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirmed that his death resulted from the shooting, not the subsequent vehicle collision.
