In the late hours of a Tuesday in Baltimore, tragedy struck, leaving one man dead and a community searching for answers. On August 20, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Franklintown Road following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Jermaine Parlow, a 32-year-old Black male, was found at the scene with fatal injuries and was pronounced
deceased by medics. A 32-year-old female was also found to have sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
As of now, the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact them or to provide anonymous tips through Metro Crime Stoppers. No information regarding any suspects or arrests has been made public at this time.
