On the evening of February 16, 2024, a burst of violence in Northwest Baltimore claimed the life of 45-year-old Darrian Williams. A Black male, Williams was discovered by police inside a residence on the 4000 block of Kathland Avenue at approximately 10:03 p.m., suffering from a gunshot wound to his body.
Officers had been called to the location to investigate a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, they found not one, but two victims.
Along with Williams, authorities located 69-year-old Rickey Cole, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite the efforts of medical responders, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department's homicide unit is actively investigating the double homicide. To date, authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or a possible motive for the deadly shooting. No arrests have been announced in connection with the deaths of Darrian Williams and Rickey Cole, and the investigation remains ongoing. Officials have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
