In the Brooklyn neighborhood of South Baltimore, a community was shaken by the violent death of 14-year-old Tywaun Short, a Black male, on the evening of April 8, 2015. The teenager was caught in a hail of bullets in the 4100 block of Audrey Avenue in what was reported as a double shooting. Another individual, a 28-year-old man, was also shot and wounded in the incident.
