On September 11, 2022, 29-year-old Christopher Lamar Tanks of Bessemer, Alabama, was fatally shot during a child custody exchange at McNeil Park in Bessemer's Pipe Shop community. The incident occurred around 1:10 p.m. and involved an argument among four individuals over the custody of two children, aged 2 and 5, who were present but unharmed. Tanks and another person were shot and transported to UAB Hospital, where Tanks succumbed to his injuries. The other victim remained in critical condition ...Read More
