In the spring of 2015, the life of a young Birmingham man was tragically cut short. Corey Smith, a 22-year-old Black male, was killed on Thursday, April 30, 2015. The incident that led to his death unfolded in the 2300 block of 7th Way NW in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born on May 19, 1992, and was a father to two children.
