On August 8, 2024, a tragic series of events unfolded in Birmingham, Alabama, resulting in the death of 49-year-old Laquitta Charisse Dunn. At approximately 4:45 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of multiple shootings at a residence in the 1600 block of Dennison Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Dunn inside the home, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
