On August 20, 2024, 21-year-old Asia Alyce Poole was fatally shot during a confrontation at the Monarch Ridge Apartments in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 10:09 p.m. in the 2900 block of Gallant Drive, where a physical altercation involving multiple individuals escalated into gunfire.
