On July 13, 2024, 56-year-old Angela Weatherspoon was among four individuals fatally shot during a mass shooting at a nightclub in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:08 p.m. at a venue in the 3400 block of 27th Street North, where a birthday party was underway.
