On March 25, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in North Portland’s University Park area, resulting in the deaths of three young men, including 19-year-old Babu Daudi. Daudi, along with 17-year-old Eskender Tamra and 20-year-old Patrick Johnson, were driving on Foss Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m. when they were ambushed by three other individuals who fired multiple gunshots at their vehicle.
