In the winter of 2015, the life of a young woman from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Twenty-one-year-old Brittany Nicole Ford was caught in the crossfire of senseless violence, becoming an innocent bystander to a conflict she had no part in. On the evening of February 12, 2015, in the Gate City area of Birmingham, an errant bullet struck the young woman, inflicting a wound that would ultimately prove fatal.
