In the fall of 2016, a Birmingham, Alabama community was shaken by the tragic death of Martha 'Sheree' Bryant, a 30-year-old Black woman and devoted mother of five. On October 11th, she was found in her home, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The devastating discovery was made while two of her children were present in the house.
