On January 25, 2024, 43-year-old Genise Carter was tragically found deceased in Birmingham, Alabama. Her body was discovered at approximately 8:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of 18th Street North by a city worker, who promptly contacted authorities. Upon investigation, it was determined that Carter had suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and her death was classified as a homicide.
