In the summer of 2022, the life of 38-year-old Holli Jo Wilson was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Wilson was found shot and killed inside a residence on 30th Court North.
The investigation into her death quickly led to a person of interest, her 55-year-old boyfriend, Fessary Mckinney. The day after Wilson's body was discovered, Mckinney turned himself in to the authorities.
Following his surrender, Fessary Mckinney was charged with capital
murder in connection with Holli Jo Wilson's death. It is believed that the two were in a dating relationship at the time of the fatal shooting.
