In the summer of 2022, the life of 38-year-old Holli Jo Wilson was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Wilson was found shot and killed inside a residence on 30th Court North.

The investigation into her death quickly led to a person of interest, her 55-year-old boyfriend, Fessary Mckinney. The day after Wilson's body was discovered, Mckinney turned himself in to the authorities.
