On the evening of February 14, 2026, a tragic event unfolded in Birmingham, Alabama, that cut short the life of 20-year-old Shaneka Renee Hicks. The incident, a double shooting, occurred at a Marathon gas station, also known as the Norwood Everyday Store, located in the 3100 block of 12th Avenue North. The shooting happened at approximately 8:04 p.m.
