On November 1, 2016, Kaeyleah Lewis, a 25-year-old woman from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically found dead after being shot in what was later determined to be a homicide. The shooting occurred in the late evening hours, when Birmingham police responded to reports of gunfire in the 4100 block of 7th Avenue South.
