On October 16, 1994, 44-year-old Florence Adell Elliott was among five individuals fatally shot at the Changing Times Lounge, a neighborhood bar in Birmingham, Alabama. The victims, including bar employees Lester Edward Dodd and Pamela Dodd, and patrons William A. Nelson Sr. and James Watkins, were discovered lying face down, each having suffered gunshot wounds to the head. The positions of the bodies suggested an execution-style killing.
