On a cold January evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 32-year-old Stacey Flournoy was tragically cut short, marking the city's first homicide of the new year. On January 5, 2020, Flournoy was sitting in a vehicle in the Inglenook neighborhood when gunfire erupted. Responding to the sound of shots and a call about a person down, Birmingham Police officers discovered her on the front porch of a residence on 39th Court North, suffering from a gunshot wound.
