Authorities have announced the identity of a woman who was found murdered in a southwest Birmingham residence.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Christina Marie Torres, aged 48.
On Wednesday, shortly after 9 a.m., Birmingham police responded to a call at the home located at 313 Sixth Street S.W. Initially, officers classified the death as unclassified, but later updated the classification to homicide, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin.
