On August 3, 2019, in Birmingham, Alabama, 32-year-old Brittney Lashawn Junious was fatally shot following a confrontation with 31-year-old Melissa King. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. in the 5000 block of Warner Street, located in the Roosevelt City area. Responding officers found Junious with life-threatening gunshot wounds to her head and facial area; she was transported to UAB Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries the following day at 3:25 p.m.
