On March 21, 2016, 18-year-old Nakia Darlene Harris was found fatally shot in her bedroom at her residence on the 1600 block of 8th Court West in Birmingham, Alabama. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at 10:27 p.m. At the time of her death, Harris was seven months pregnant.
