On June 2, 2014, 69-year-old Jessie Taylor was fatally shot in the lobby of McMillon Estates on 57th Street in Ensley, Birmingham, Alabama. The assailant, Willie Bell, was identified as a former boyfriend who acted out of apparent jealousy.
